Any trusted dyno tune shops in Houston?
I just recently did an LS3/525 crate motor and 4L70E swap in my 1979 Corvette. The car cranks up fine and runs ok but does have a consistent stutter/backfire when leaving a stop right when it's about to shift from 1st to 2nd. I'd like to get this issue ironed out and of course have it dyno tuned.
Any reputable and trusted shops in Houston area? I'm about 2 hours east in Louisiana.
Thanks for any help. Picture for fun:

I prefer Matt Sorian at MS Tuning. They know their way around these setups and have experience with restomods.

Beautiful car. Do you have a build thread or complete mod list? Have you given the guys at Ragin Racin a call? They are near Lafayette. In Houston, I would second Matt Sorian @ MS Tuning.

I used 510 Race Engineering for my last vette. No mods or anything yet on my current one. Great job way back when. They were in Humble, but looks like they are in the process of moving to Sealy.

Thank yall for the recommendations and compliments.
As for build info. here's my thread. Just a ls3/525 crate motor with 4l70e and making it fit. I'm also putting an aftermarket ac system in it and a modern android screen.

I believe the 4L70 is very similar to the 4L65 and 4L60. Generally, the number after the L has some indication of torque handling capability, i.e. 70 > 60 so it may be able to handle more torque. I also wouldn't be surprised if the 4L70 has more sensors than the others. Let's face it, nothing in cars is getting less "electronic" these days.

Pat G in Victoria Texas is one of the best tuners in the country. He's one of the best used by Texas Speed and Performance, Bad Chad, and a TON of big name people.
Also, Noe Jr Suarez in Houston. You can find him on Facebook the easiest. He's use to turbo builds with 1xxxrwhp. I seen your car on LS1tech and he goes by "subeone" on there too. You could PM him there also.
Stay away from "Chuck Tuning" at Houston House of Power. Stay away from that place.

I would suggest having a look at Engine Logics down in Stafford, TX. It is a small shop but their knowledge level is impressive. Brad did the re-tune on my 03 after another shop had a first go at it and it made a world of difference. One thing I really liked, they regularly calibrate their dyno's; something I couldn't find in any other shop around town.

Beware of Matt Sorian and MS Tuning. He is a very talented tuner but not the best at business. He still owes us Florida Speed and Power customers money.
