Default Corvette repair shop in Dallas?

I am looking to take my Corvette in to get looked at.. Does any one know of some good shops that can be trusted and do good work? I have something wrong with the O2 sensors I replaced them with 62k miles and know its show the same codes again, at 68k miles. So something else must be wrong.. Any advice would be helpful.. So any Shops that any of you know about in Dallas area? Thanks

Try Speedworks in Lewisville they are very good. Look to your left they are one of the Tuners.

David at the Corvette Shop is pretty good. Someone recommeded them to me and they've worked on my car a couple times. They're off of Stemmons between Royal and Walnut Hill. The number is 972-243-3033.

Wherever you go - DO NOT take the Vette to Corvettes Of Dallas (Houstin) off of Stemons in Carrollton.

Took mine there for a code - they sold me nothing but junk to fix the issue, which it did not do, then I had to have the car flat bedded to a dealer, and they removed EVERYTHING that Corvettes of Dallas (Houston) did. The throttle body they sold me was bad, and I spent another $675 for the replacement of the original.

My 02 sensor wires were crossed and Jenkins Performance in Keller fixed the problem in five minutes. Scott is a 20 year GM Mechanic. Have been to all the repair shops listed above and was not happy. If you have mods, go to John Page at 21st Century, if you have repairs, go to Jenkins hands down.

I would stay away form Corvetts of Dallas, sloppy work there. Check out 21st Century Muscle Cars in Carolton. They have done some great work for me, on time, on budget; and they are a sponser of the Forum. Oh, and they are part of Lignefelter!

I take mine to Bobby Freeman at Proautomotive on Gus-Thomasson in Mesquite. Does great work and knows Corvettes. If you are a member of Lone Start CC you get a good discount.

I agree with AC54ME,

I would not go to Corvettes of Dallas for work.
I don't know the current guys doing work on the cars, but I do know that the owner of the place still owes me a court ordered $2500 that he refuses to pay.

I liked your recommendation on Jenkins Performance in Keller but cannot find them on the web yellow pages. Do I have the name right?

I've been using 21st Century Motorsports in Carrollton. They do great work and they are very friendly/helpful. Just be careful :). It's hard to keep from spending money when looking at all the projects they are working on or looking in their showroom.

Hey Blues Mobile go down to the Court House and put a lien on the property. You will be suprised how fast folks pay when you do that  I have had to use it a couple of times. It has not failed yet :flag

A friend at work bought his first vette, a '97, and took it to Corvettes of Dallas for some light mods, tranny work, and he was never happy with it afterwards. He traded it in for a Cobra. -- 'Nuff said.

Default Choose your restoration guys carefully

Carr's Corvettes in the Dallas Texas area are what i'd call 80% res. They make their work look good but they cut corners and don't communicate their decisions worth at damn. So when you get your car back, you have paid a ton of money and it looks good. ... BUT the details are a disaster. brackets, bushings and other things that make a restoration "right" are not done well. They then blame it on the owner as "you never said it was OK". But they never asked, either. Find someone else, is my recommendation.
