Any of the DFW crowd up for a Friday the 13th trip to Ennis?
Let's say a meet point for those from the north side of town at 5:00pm at the Micro Center on 75 just south of Spring Valley. You might want to bring your FRS radios if you have them.

got me a good pushrod back in, just need to torque all the rockers. Then I think I will go to ennis too.
My wife freaked when she came out to the garage and saw our 50K 11K mile 2000 vette with the valve covers off, and coil packs laying around etc... hehe. She really is going to freak if I tell her im going back to the track
You can bet Mr. Ripper Shifter will be in there this time

vette-racer: ennis is pretty liberal on test and tune fridays. As long as your 12.0 or higher in a vert they dont say anything if you have a helmet. Not saying they may not start tho.... But I havnt heard of problems 12.0 or higher.
Joe: yeah, while fumbling for third I hit 1st, but backed off pretty quick. I didnt realize it till later I head a ticking sound. I got home and didnt pull the push rods til saturday night after the lake event and dynos (i didnt drive it of course) Only one bent was #5 intake
It was from an overrev, but only because it was a downshift overrev. Rev limiter is useless in that scenario. Fortunatly I wasnt going that fast, and backed off pretty quick on that run.
Only best thing of last friday was i was able to get at least a 2.15 60 foot one time.

Topless Texan, I have time this Friday, but I don't know if my helmet will make it here by then. I called Racers Wholesale, and they said my helmet may be in by Friday, Monday for sure.
If you know where I can borrow a helmet (XL), or if my helmet comes in on Friday I'll be there.

I would come, but I blew a head gasket a couple of weeks ago and still have not found the time to tear into it to fix it. I should be ready for a trip in August though .
