Default Don't buy a transmission from MADDOG TRANSMISSIONS.

Haven't been posting here recently. Busy times. I've had some problems with a transmission company recently and instead of posting it all over again word for word here, I'll paste a link to a z28 forum (if that's ok?).

The reason I started posting on this forum was because I kept googling for maddog transmission when I saw their site was down and they weren't returning my calls. This was the most recent events that sort of coincided with my problems. My alias is just4maddog.

Ya, unfortunately I found that one after I had already bought my transmission from them. Too bad I didn't research them further. I think the time I ordered the "godfather" from them, there was one post in the archives here that had a positive comment for them. I hope my thread will stay pretty deep to keep people away from this lier. When I find out what name the split company is going under I will post it as well. These sort of people shouldn't be allowed to do business. Thank you for the extra info to add to this thread.

I looked at his shop breifly before buying from BTO. He was here in Florida and not too far away, but I decided that anyone who has to tell you in their ads that they are honest (i.e,: Honest John's Used Cars) and has a name like Mad Dog was not to be trusted. Seems I made the right choice. God bless, Sensei

This is about the 4th MD tranny post in here in the last 2 months, looks like they boned a bunch of customers, then split for different areas.

because i've seen so many, i was prepared to call you an internet whiner.

however, after reading your posts and if the pics you took were as real as they appear, i would owe you an apology.

I bought the tranny last October so me seeing recent posts were kinda too late I suppose. I just got my engine running this year then I installed the tranny. Less than 500 miles on it and the transmission. I'm no internet whiner and my pics are real. The shop I took the transmission to recently is real and the guy who took it apart (while I watched) is real and ready to vouch for me if it comes to it.
