Default Not good dealing with American Hydrocarbon...

I spoke to Pat via email in January about getting my passenger HVAC vent bezel done to match the parts that were already in my car. After a few emails back & forth, including me sending pics & explaining what I need, he said he could make it happen and it would be done within 2 weeks.

I ship my bezel to him and he gets it on 1/28/2016. We are now in week SEVEN! I have gotten nothing but excuses and the run around after being told it will ship on X day many times, but it never did. Things from "family" problems to they did the part wrong & has to be redone to it was being cleared & was supposed to ship LAST Tuesday to the latest of it will ship today. No surprise, no reply to my request for a tracking number.

I've had enough & filed a Paypal claim. Worst case, I have to file a dispute w/my CC company.

Needless to say, I'll never deal with this company again. I know a lot of folks have had good experiences w/them, but not this guy.

Several of us here have had really good luck with them! I've talked to Pat a couple of times and I always got my parts on time.

Use the red triangle under your User ID and ask to have your thread moved to the Transactions Feedback Forum so others can see what a problem you're having with that vendor.

He did the same thing to me. Excuse after excuse and month after month delay. He was supposed to paint Gs badges for me. After months I got them back painted the wrong color. Then months later I got another pair painted the wrong color.
I bet I called him20 times. Always an excuse and a promise. After at least 6 months I have nothing usable from him.
It would be different if he kept any of his promises. I think he was just telling me anything he thought up.
Good luck with him. I would put plan "b" in action and get whatever you need done.

Problem is, you filed a PayPal claim and may get your money back ... but he still has your bezels. Hopefully the tracking number you got is genuine.

Just 1 piece & it was an extra I got to send it so my car is still 100% intact.

Wow. I like how he had the nerve to email tonight saying "Paypal claim, really?"

Sorry i just chuckled at that. If you ever have the time to read or scimm through this thread... consider yourself lucky. In terms of money differences.

The link above is a thread made here in the forum. I came across it while looking for big brakes for my car. This is a scary true story. I actually read the whole damn thing. Don't put too much confidence into paypal either.

He did the sick relative with me also.
I got the useless tracking number that never materialized.
He was not a vendor here when I had my problems. He was using his company name on his posts. I turned him into a moderator for that.
Good luck

Good luck
Turns out he outsources all the work & doesn't do any of it himself.

I used him a few years ago. Yes he was slow but with patience I eventually got my order and was well pleased. He can do the work, just plan on a wait.

Actually take a look at this. I took screen shots with my phone. This is actually from today a few hours ago. He made a widebooty convertion. So he only wanted the rear fenders. Take a look when he tells me how long that took.

So bearz06 has a good point. If this guy ordered his fenders on nov of 2014 and just got it done now. And bearz06 with his helpful information, maybe this case isn't AS bad as we think. The key here is patience.

He must have been a politician before he started this business!

This has nothing to do with me. Must have been someone else.

You need to chill out! Things happen that are sometimes out of the vendor's control.
