Default Vengeance Racing ( Wanna go Fast TX)

Good evening.
I wanted to share my experience today with Ron, Mike and crew from Vengeance Racing (Atlanta).

I'll preface this by saying that I will not bash the shop, builder who has built and worked on my car for many years! I'll not talk about the capital that I have invested in my car and put in their pockets. I'll not go into the recent issues that came up that prompted me to rebuild my short block prior to this event. Matter of fact, I am going to stop talking about them now and forever.... As I met some other guys today who "earned" my business. Allow me to expand......

Picked up my car yesterday evening, took it to the event this morning, made my first pass and as i was waiting to make my second run my car began idling erratic.. then would not stay running ( had to feather throttle) threw a CEL so i pulled off into the pits... Thinking that i was done for the day i walked over to the Vengeance Racing tent. Initially i inquired as to if they by chance could check my CEL and identify the problem. I was directed to Mike ( their tuner)... He was working on a couple of his long time customers cars YET he said sure, bring it on over i'd be happy to help out a fellow Corvette enthusiast. Not going into specifics, he quickly and i mean "quickly" identified what was up with the tune,,, it went from that to removing a couple of plugs, from that to a vacuum entering into my valve cover, from that to an injector wire that literally came apart in their hands... Ron ( owner) was involved at that point,, he too was wrenching on the car.... fast forward to 2.5 hrs later... Mike completely went through my tune and showed me everything that was wrong or copied, pasted in the cells... Once idle was fixed, plugs replaced, Mike drove car and data logged for about 30 min.... AGAIN, i was not a customer and had NEVER even met these guys... AND they had life long customers that were waiting for me and my car....
I think you guys get the picture......
Once Mike, Ron were finished i made 3 more runs... NA... No nitrous today.... Wasn't going to chance it. What is am going to do is have Mike fly back out to TX, take my car for a day and FIX IT once and for all....... I'll post results at that time... should be in a couple of weeks.

In closing.... Vengeance Racing, Ron, Mike have "Earned" my Texas business... I cannot say enough good things about them and what they did FOR ME and my car... Stay tuned... Will follow up and post up the results. Looking forward to a long time relationship with these guys. Wishing they were in Texas... Oh well, i guess i can send my cars to Atlanta from now on.

Props to Mike, Ron and the Vengeance Racing crew. What you guys did yesterday was well above and beyond just being helpful and helping out a fellow enthusiast. I am sincerely impressed and I will definitely be looking your way in for future work.

Short boring story for my CF brethren.

A good friend and I were doing cam/spring swaps etc. on F bodies most every weekends from around 02-06 as a side gig. Ron Mowen was doing these Camaro SS 427 builds for some company that maybe turned into Vengance at some point (?) not sure about that but he stopped by and showed us all the short cuts to dropping out the front subframe on other 4th gen builds.

It was a good time in GA as the LS market was beginning to explode.

Like I said, lame story but just an example as how some companies start.

Ron told us that story yesterday, GMMG. No, they did not become Vengeance, Ron and a friend left and started Vengeance.

Actually, the fact is Mike started and owned the company before it was Vengeance... Ron bought it from him and "they" came up with the name Vengeance Racing. Mike is in the shadows as the lowly "tuner"...
Get it right Dominican!!!

I'm sorry about the car having issues after all you've been through but that is very badass of them to take care of you like that and it's nice to know that there are still some people out there that are honestly willing to help and not just take your money... even if they didn't ask for anything from you, people remember gestures like this and it will gain them lifetime customers in the end

155 on 7 cylinders NO NITROUS...
As a comparison, I did 160 in a roll race event back in May and that is racing for 1600ft on a 200 shot...

My car will be back to its old self in a couple of weeks.

Neutron... you cannot really put a price on what they did for me... I would have had to have trailered my car home if not for Vengeance...

That being said, it will be money well spent when Mike comes back out.

Stay "tuned"....

that's still better than the majority of cars out there... I missed 5th BAD on one run trying to no lift shift and still managed 158... I wish they did these events more often though

Wait you let Ron work on your car? I didn't think he still knew how to use a wrench.

I Kid! I Kid!

I feel so dam lucky to have these guys less than 15 minuets from me. Now I just need to get some cash together and have them do some more work! You will not find a better group of folks in the biz!
