Default *Do not buy the Callaway Short shifter!!*

Unless you've got a VERY good lawyer, cause it's real hard to not speed once you've installed it...

First off, let me be VERY clear, THIS SHIFTER ROCKS!!!

I installed it the other day, perfect instructions, and can't say enough about the difference in the way the car shifts vs the stock shifter.

I was a bit surprised to see that the stock shifter looks pretty much identical to my 08 base model shifter. With the stock shifter, you really had to be careful, at least in my experience, when shifting from 4th to fifth, not to go into 7th...

Anyway, this is how a high end corvette should shift, VERY precise and easy to hit the mark.

I payed full price for this item, but enjoy promoting items that REALLY do work!
Here's a short video of the shifter in action:

Great review and nice job shifting in the video. I have always preferred the stock shifters in Corvettes until the M7, I agree it is easy to miss shifts I have went from 2nd to 5th a couple times.
How much more effort does this shifter require to shift? That was one of the main reasons I never have liked the aftermarket short throw shifters.

The video makes it look like it takes a ton of effort. But maybe it's just the way he's exaggerating the different grip positions in preparation for the shifts.

Thanks, I've done the 2nd to 5th thing as well...
Yes, it does take just a bit more effort to shift, and I would not recommend this shifter to the average guy that just cruises the car around, and has no desire to actually drive it. For anyone that does some degree of spirited driving, the slight extra effort needed to shift is well worth the trade off...

As stated above, not bad at all, I'm just a bit focused when I get on it...

Buddy sounds like you are having even more fun now in the car. From what I have seen that vendors has always done really good on stuff. But not cheap at all and think of their work as GOLD.

But then again more than not you get what you pay for...
