Band together with some of the other members who have been scammed and contact the local police. This guy needs to be stopped. Good luck.

You don't need a lawyer for small claims court. Just proof. When you win you recover court costs too. I suggest looking into it...IF getting your money back is important enough to you. If not, then consider it an expensive lesson.

Good luck.

Yup-I bought a motor, $10k through PP on my CC-guy shipped me a door stop then told me tough **** I was out the $$$.
PP wouldn't help me and I didn't even use friends and family.
Visa dispute-long story short I got my money back and told him to come get his POS-never heard from him again.

It's because they want to screw pay pal out of their fee, however when someone turns the table on them and screws them out of something all hell brakes loose.

A thief is a thief whether he steals a penny or anything else of value.

There an old saying "screw me once, shame on you, screw me twice shame on me".

I still send a check for what I purchase, it has served me well for nearly 60 years and I see no need to change it now.

Dustin, The top you purchased, you decided to have it brought by someone than shipped. The elderly man was in the hospital and did not make the meet. I informed you I was checking on getting it to you. What you are doing now is slander. Tread carefully my friend. Also learn to spell.

Seller has responded. The buyer and seller can continue offline. Conversations about PayPal, etc are not relevant.

If the dispute is resolved or there is a significant development, let me know and I'll add it to the thread.

I was informed today by the OP that the seller has provided a refund for the item in this transaction and this dispute is settled.
