Default ACS Front Splitter

Today I received the second front splitter from ACS. The first did not line up and looked like it was purchased from Ebay scrap heap. The second splitter also did not line up. The paint is scratched the underneath looks like it came from the ebay scrap heat alos. Can you believe a splitter that costs over $800 will not line up and looks like garbage? I had another OEM splitter in the box from GM. I installed it on my car dead center flawlessly. With that said I will never ever purchase another product from ACS. They told me the fisrt time that oh no Robots drill the holes and there is no way the holes can be off. The holes look like a 3 year old drilled them. The holes from the center to the left side are 5mm off and on the right they are 3mm off. On the first splitter they were all 10mm off. I am completely disappointed and cannot believe that anyone would keep a splitter installed on their car if they are seeing the same issues. I would also would hate to see the poor quality of any other panel that they offer...

This is not a beater car....ah no!!! Also for over $800 dollars = NO

I could do a hack job too but that is not happening...The finish looks like total hell too!

The splitter is still off a 1/4" from the holes that you can see. The rivets and bolt washers will not cover holes if I were to get out the dremel!...

All of my ACS aero lines up beautifully. Even swapping from stage II to stage III and back. Like butter

All my aero is from ACS without any issues. I'm surprised to hear this because ACS stands behind their products.

I had their skirts on mine, they fit and looked great. That splitter looks terrible if that’s how it arrived to you.

So just to clarity, your factory holes along the back, where the 12 or so bolts are, those are lining up, but the dealer drilled holes toward the front are not? Looks like it in your pic, just trying to visualize which sets of holes are not lining up

My ACS splitter was perfekt in finish and fit!

Who did you buy it from?

The rough underside is a layer of body protection material normally found under normal cars to protect from road debris hits and corrosion. Also help to protect the fiber I guess!

I would like to know we're you purchased from also. My ACS side skirts and 4 rear diffusers all came perfectly finished, skirts pre-drilled holes lined up exactly to factory holes. I purchased directly from ACS. Agree yours does not look like what ACS would ship out.

I did buy side skirts from ACS before. The fitment was a little off and there was a scratch on it however thier product is top quality. What i mean by that is, its not flimsy like most side skirts from these companies. I dont know what material they use but they were very sturdy. Unfortunetly for me I had to sell them because I upgraded to carbon fiber ones and they feel super cheap compared to ACS's side skirts

Hi Brad,

Sorry to hear you're having issues with the splitter. Please do go ahead and repackage the part, and email us your info (order@acscomposite.com). We will schedule a pickup and issue a full refund on the purchase.

I too, would not want a less than perfect part on your car.

I do recall your first splitter. We did unpackage and verify the second splitter on an OEM Fascia prior to sending you the replacement, we were able to align it.

I am a little puzzled you're not being able to align the splitter perfectly on your car. I understood and we acknowledged the issue on the first splitter, if the holes are off center by 3 mm, it should be able to be aligned to the body contour without modifying the part as the car's fasteners are adjustable U-Nuts.

As for the undercoated being not perfect, I will look into and see if can improve it. It is a very coarse coating, which most manufacturers do not bother with, but we feel it does seal the substrate, we do have standards on the outer paint quality, but not for the inner. I assure you I will get this adressed on Monday.

Thank you for the input, I will review here and expect your email to set up a return.

When all of the bolts are in the splitter is offset by 10mm to the passenger side. The holes in the picture are the drilled holes for rivets. They are offset the wrong way. If I align those it is even worse. I had a new stage 1 splitter from GM and installed it without any alignment issues this morning.

I do want to say that ACS has been supportive. I just cannot accept imperfections like this.

The biggest disappointment is seeing everyone with ACS accessories but I can't get a decent part...

I cannot split the difference of 8mm-11mm off center -

ACS splitter measurements:
Center to left - 77mm
Center to right - 66 mm
11 mm difference
LH overhang - 8mm
RH overhang -16mm

OEM splitter measurements: (2 different splitters 1 off from the car and one new from GM)
Center to left - 73mm smaller centering hole.
Center to right - 73 mm

Default New GM splitter

I ordered and installed a new GM splitter from Cultrag Performance. Gene helped me out with the best deal and shipping. Thank you Gen. The splitter lined up in the center with no issues, the paint and THE bottom looked very nice. The other thing to notE is that the ACS did not hAve brackets to install the center deflector if you wanted to. Needless to say I hope that I learned my lesson on trying to save money...!!!
