I've had dealers sign my name on tag registration documents. With a power of attorney , I think they can do that.
Note: I am not a lawyer and did not even sleep at a Holiday inn last night, but I have seen it done. I wouldn't worry about it. The signature in question is still related to the traded car.

I'd be pissed about buying a Callaway, the stealer giving out my identity and contact information and forging my signature to correct something that never happened. There is more to the story about the Irma flood correction unless the address of your trust was in the Irma flood zone. You left that part out? Drive the Z into the showroom right through the glass and start kicking and screaming. Drop a few stink bombs and drive off through a new pane of glass.

1. How do you own vehicles in the name of a trust? I've literally never heard of that. I'm shocked because the liability the trustee assumes with that is immense.
2. What's the inside joke with Callaway? I'm serious. I have no idea WTF you Willis's be talking about.

If the guy wanted my signature to clear it, then I would have simply made him give me the original on the phony and I would just keep it!
I would negative yelp the Deslership and not waste any more precious time of my own on the matter!
Ya, let's hear about the new one!!!! Or are they a sponsored Vendor? who is afraid of some critic, that could better them as a Company???? I am not a modern Corvette Owner, so don't know how they are doing! I kind of would like to come on a forum and hear product endorsements and thoughts, is how my brain is geared!

You shouldn't have signed anything, gone to the dealership and explained to them what was going on and asked what was it worth to them to A) sign the paperwork and B) not go to the authorities with your forged signature.

Their intent is obvious, and it resulted in an actual crime. At a bare minimum I'd call up the owner and let them know what happened, and that you'll never set foot in their dealership again. I wonder how many modified sales agreements have been forged there?

Callaway you idiots, it's Callaway.
I guess I shouldn't expect too much Corvette knowledge in OT.

THIS THREAD HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH CALLAWAY. Only what the OP might want you to believe, aside from the car is one of ours, which he bought used from a dealer (which double checking our records, has not had any issues aside from replacing a rear emblem under warranty).
But nonetheless, not sure why any of that is relevant here. This is a supposed dealer issue. If you really have a problem, give us a call, as you have our contact info. Thanks, and good luck with whatever you are really trying to settle with the whole signature issue.

I'd report it. No excuse for that. Notary loses their ticket and the dealership will have to answer for it. Most states take this car dealer and title process very seriously.
