Kudos to Willcox
I come to sing Willcox’s praises, not to decry him (with apologies to W Shakespeare).
I’ve ordered a small amount of stuff from Ernie, and it has all, with one exception, been exactly as expected. The sole exception was luggage-rack hardware. Now, truth be told, despite the order being place with Willcox, the instructions accompanying the hardware were from the ‘premier’ (descriptive word chosen with particular care) supplier of all things for old Vettes. Based upon previous experience with said ‘premier’ supplier, I examined the contents carefully. I only needed two screws, and one black ‘bullet’, but I figured, eventually, I’d likely have a call for it all, so I splurged on the kit.
As soon as I took the screws out of the box I knew that the heads were too large. Nearly a tenth of an inch larger in dia than the OE screws. I brought this to Ernie’s attention Monday. Today a small package arrived with four, correct screws. Thank you, Ernie. It’s a business like Willcox that demonstrates that they understand the value of a long-term customer. Garnering new customers is expensive. Keeping the ones one has is, in comparison, cheap.
Kudos to Willcox!

I've ordered many items from Willcox. Ernie has always gone out of his way to make sure the orders were correct. And if there was a small mistake, or an item missing, he made sure things got straightened out. Plus, hes always willing to help out with advice or knowledge.

I ordered many things from Wilcox, only one order was wrong. Ordered a nose emblem for my 81, recieved a chrome bordered emblem. Call customer service and returned the item and had the correct one in 2 or 3 days. Great company AND great customer service! Rare these days.

I will... I'm getting old... and tired... and ready to retire.... so take advantage of anything on the site, upload anything you can and save them.
I tell my wife, this ain't no rodeo and this for sure isn't a dance rehearsal.... Just an FYI... you only live once, and like Alan71.... I'm just saying.... I'm close to walking away.
I watched my father drop dead at 53, 30 years ago, same for my grand father @ 63 and my GGF well he was 35 with 9 kids so it brings things into perspective.
Thank god I took after my mothers side huh..... I'll not walk away from the forum, but I'm getting really close to backing off from the rest of it....

I’ll chime in too and tell of my experience with Willcox.
A few years ago, I posted some information about Corvette Angels, an annual toy drive that my car club sponsors in Charlotte, NC. I wasn’t advertising for toy donations, but just making an announcement for local support of the event. Well, Ernie read the post and contacted me and offered to send toy donations for the kids. It was special because in all the years of announcing the event on this forum, no one ever offered to mail toy donations.
So there you have it! Ernie paid the postage to mail toys to our event and I’m sure it made some kids smile for Christmas. We are in our eighth year of celebrating this event and only Willcox has offered to do that.
It’s people like Ernie that make this world a better place.
Thank you, Sir.

Ernie,
I have bought vette stuff from you for many years, I used to deal with Norm there, I have always received the best of service and advice from you and your staff.
I hate to see your tenure approaching the end, for selfish reasons on my part, but being 77 years old myself I surly understand where you are coming from.
I wish to thank you for all you have done for us in the Corvette community and wish you nothing but happiness in all your future endeavors
.
Thanks
Bill
