Default Classic Trim Customs

I just wanted to share my positive experience with Classic Trim Customs. A few weeks ago while at Corvette's at Carlisle, I visited their tent not intending to buy anything but I found a heat extractor cover in Admiral blue laying on the table. It was part of a whole engine cover set that they were selling but the salesman I spoke with said he could sell single items from the set. I explained to him that I already had other painted engine covers from another vendor and asked if I could walk this item back to my car to see how well the paint matched. He did not have a problem with that and I was only gone for about 10 minutes. The paint matched so I walked back and told him I would take it. I was rung up by another sales person while the original salesman walked down to their install tent to put double sided tape on the item. While being rung out, I swiped my car and was told it didn't go through so I had to swipe it again, so I did. I received a receipt and by that time the original salesman came back and told me that his boss told him he was no longer allowed to sell pieces from the complete sets that they had on the table. I was advised that they were going another show after Carlisle so if the piece didn't sell at that show, they would send it to me immediately. If it sold, they would paint me a new one and send it to me. I left them my name and address and walked away with less than a good feeling about actually receiving the part that I had just paid for.

About a week and a half later, I sent an email inquiring about the part. I did not receive a response back, so I sent another email a day or two later. I did receive a response this time stating that they sold the set at the next show (go figure) and that they would paint me a new piece and send it out the following week. I've dealt with enough custom vendors in the past that have told me similar things to realize this was probably not true and that I would receive this part in about a month, if at all. A few days after this email exchange, I got a call from Classic Trim Customs stating that they noticed they charged me twice for this part and wanted to know what happened. I explained that I swiped my card the first time and was told it didn't go through so I had to swipe it again. They apologized to me and told me they would immediately refund one of the transactions. I checked my credit card statement the next day and saw the refund had already posted! I also received an email from Class Trim Customs with a tracking number! To my surprise, the item arrived a few days later, painted and looking great!

I went from not having any hope at all to having a very good experience with Classic Trim Customs so I would not hesitate to buy from them again and recommend them to anyone.
