well powder coating and painting is completely safe, I personally have been in the business for over 11 years and can easily say that you will have no problems as long as the company or person doing the painting or powder coating is not taking short cuts/ by short cuts i mean time cutting, see in powder coating each color or shade or what ever color option will require a certain temperature to be activated/ i mean your guy can say " our ovens are safely at 250-300 deg but your color may require a 350deg for activation but then you need time. a certain color may require 350 deg for 20 minutes to cure and activate properly well some coaters try to up the heat and lower the time which then depending on the wheel manufacturing can disrupt the integrity of the aluminum .
over cooking will cause issues as well. so just like everything in life if done right then your good.

I had a pair of 18” wire wheels made for my 05 Harley - powder coated rims and chrome twisted spokes. Had them over 10 years and never had an issue.
You should be fine.
