Need tire help!
I need new tires for the C5 I just bought. I need some insight on the pros and cons of the various tires that are out there. Whats the best as far as ride, noise, performance and wear? Run flats or regular? No racing just everyday driving. What do you recommend? Thanks.

pick up some KDWs....I have had Pilot Sports for 4 years and Firestones before that. These KDWs rock.... another good alternative is TOYO Proxes R1 you can get them form www.TD4L.com forum vendor I got my KDWs from Sams Club...
KDWs on my 99 and Toyos on G/F 02
Both sets were under or right at $1000 out the door.

You should take a look at the Goodyear GS-D3. They are just under $1000 as well.
If you take a look at the Customer Reviews all of the Corvette owners really seem to like them and rate them very highly. All said they were major improvements in the areas you mentioned over the OEM run flats.
You can read the reviews from Corvette owners by going to the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 page, clicking on "Read all reviews for this tire", then filter by Make and select Chevrolet. Almost all of the Chevy reviews are from Vette owners.

good answers but I would also recommend looking at the Runflat Firestone SZ50 EP .... it offers the best ride quality available while still maintaining runflat capabilities

The KDW's you mentioned, is the tread kind of normal looking? There's a set of KDW's on Sears web site and the tread is funky looking. In a way they are kind of neat looking. Just wondering which ones you were talking about. Thanks for the info though.

I run the Michelin Pilot Sport AS ZP. (run flat but not at all harsh)
Quiet, very sticky, good wear, great ride.
I think they work best. Not cheap. Check with Luke at tirerack.

Thanks guys for your input. I bought a set of Michelin Pilot Sport run-flats yesterday. Got a great deal, just need to find someone to mount them now. Thanks Fat Bob, its good to know how someone else likes what you bought.
