Older tires
I have a set of "old" Goodyear GR60-15's on my '67. They are about as large a tire as I could put on (which is what I want) without rubbing. I'm looking for as big an equivalent as possible, without risking tire/fender rub. Depending on what I read, I'm getting conflicted statements. Some say 225/60, and I've seen 255/60 (which seems a bit big). Any thoughts? Thks

According to an old GoodYear tech sheet I still have (I used to sell tires, part time), a GR60-15 tire is approximately 26.4" OD. The closest sized, 60 series tire to that OD, would be a 245-60-15. A 255-60, which was used as OE on the 78-82 Corvettes, is 27" OD.
