Default Tire Selection: Michelin Super Sport or Michelin Sport P4 S?

I am shopping for new tires for my 2011 Grandsport to replace the Bridgestone RFT that were on it when I bought the car. The RFT are terrible.

2011 Grandsport
570 WHP
6 Auto
1.87 60'
11.4 ET
124 mph

I have narrowed selection to the Michelin Pilot Super Sport and the Michelin Pilot Sport PS4 based on vehicle use.

I understand the PS4 is an improvement over the PSS, but the MPSS is available in wider sizes. Would a wider PSS off set any improvement of the PS4?

Michelin Pilot Super Sport (MPSS)
345/30/19(R)(27.1"); 295/35/18(F)(26.1")

Michelin Pilot Sport PS4 (MPS PS4)
325/30/19(R)(26.7"); 285/30/19(25.7")

Few things.

- This forum doesn't get much traffic, except from tire whackos like me and a few others. You could try the C6 General or even better the C6 Z06 forum. Lots of good info there.

- The PS4 has not been out for very long, and so there isn't alot of reviews available. Especially long term reviews. From what I have seen so far, it is an excellent tire.

- However, and most importantly, the PS4 does NOT come in the correct sizes for our wheels, so not many C6 owners have purchased them. They do not make a 18" tire in in the correct size for us. You have selected a 19" front tire. Do you have two wheels for these tires?

- The PSS is a proven tire. It has great tread life and excellent all around traction. You will notice a noticeable difference in both wet and dry traction, ride quality, responsiveness and overall performance. If it is my money, I would choose the PSS.

- Lastly, you have listed your drag racing times. What is the intended use? How many miles do you put on the car per year? What kind of conditions is it driven in? Any tire you buy will sacrifice certain things for other things. At the strip, you should consider drag radials in the rear.

I love my Michelin Pilot Super Sports. I will buy them again. I even have done Open Track Time with them. One time in the rain and could not believe the traction. Buy them
I use Pilot Sport Cup on the track and they last a long time even with 1 G turns. I am sold on Michelin.
Use Hoosier Drag Radials on the Strip. I run 11.9 ET with 400+ RWHP.
2012 Grand Sport.
