Looking for a tire that will fit stock wheel and hook (supercharged)
I need new tires for my 2009 c6 with the Z51 package. The car is stock with an A&A ti trim supercharger kit making around 560rwhp. I am looking for something that will hook up but I would like to keep the stock wheels. What would you suggest?
Thanks

Depends what you want. Do you use the car on the highway or drag racing on a prepped surface? Do you want a dead hook from the tree in 1st? Do you want squishy drag radials or a street tire? Not enough info but there's almost for sure a tire that fits your stock wheel that will satisfy you. Is that an 18" wheel?

They have the R888R (the successor to the R888) in sizes you can use. A match for the front, though I'd go much wider, and a 295/35/19 for the back.

Ok thanks. So for the rear should I get the 305/35/19 or the 295/35/19 do you think ?

To be honest, it's probably not something you'd notice. 305 is "cooler" and in theory (IN THEORY), can hook on a slightly harder launch than the 295 but you probably will not notice the difference. the 295 is probably better value for money.

Seems like most people at my power level or above are running the 305's. I have also read of people having problems in the corners with the 305's.

Yeah I read that the 305 is too big for the 10 in wheel. Even though lots of people have no issues.
EditJust found 2 more threads where ppl said the 305 felt unstable at high speeds. Looks like I’m leaning towards the 295

Hm yeah I guess 305 is a smidge wide on a 10. Guess i didn't realize it was only 10 inches. They list the rim width range to be 10.5 to 11.5 for the 305. 295 would be a nice fit on a 10 though.

I know place where thousand of new and used tires are available, moreover prices will surprise you.
Recently I've purchased 225/50/17 PIRELLI CINTURATO P7 RUN FLAT I spent $70, crazyyy, new set is about $250
The quality is great! I like it.
Oh, you may look through inventory at their website http://supertiresonline.com/ I want to add that's it's not an ad, it's my life experience because before I found these guys, I usually purchased tires at Discount Tires, but last years their prices became high and not like a discounted. SuperTires is great alternative with the lower prices.

One of the major problems I see with buying used tires, is the age of them. I have a complete set of Michelin Pilot Sports ZP with almost full tread. They are six years old, so if anyone wants them, let me know....for a price, of course.

You'll be lucky to actually *sell* a set of 6 year old tires to someone. If anyone would actually pay for them, it would likely have to be someone that never drives their car or doesn't understand what happens to tires when they age.
