Default Looking for a very reasonable wheel/tire for my 02 C5

Good morning all,

This is my first time back on the forum since Sept. Once the weather breaks here I am looking to put some brand new wheels and tires on my 02. I'd like to stick to C5 Z06 sizes. I am really in love with the Z06 wheel for that year. Either the Gray factory color or chrome is what I am looking for. I'm not looking to break the bank for a wheel and tire combo. I had an expensive pair on before and lets just say they turned out to be total garbage as the years went on, just horribly made. Basically, I am just looking for an upgrade that will change the look of the car.

A place to start would be, what's your budget?

2 grand maybe a bit more. I can’t justify spending huge money on wheels on a car that only gets driven for maybe 4-5 months of the year.

$2K for just wheels, or are tires included in that number? If it's just for wheels, a set of Forgestars in C5 fitment would cost around $1700 or so. A nice set of oem Z06 wheels will probably cost close to a grand but their 17" fronts can create issues, with tire selection.
Where are you located, Justin?

located in RI. Roads are total garbage from the winter and the plows. They don’t really fix anything as far as potholes. Had a blow out on my other car from a pothole in the middle of the highway...unmarked. So that’s why I am not keen on spending a lot of money for wheels and tires.

I was looking into SR1 performance wheels in a 18x8.5/19x10 setup.
