Hey, MarkMeHopeful....

Love those Wheels! Also, the front nose Jake breaks up the all black. You probably didn't notice, but I had my front fins painted to match the car. It helps break up the black front as well. You might consider painting yours blue. Your car has a fantastic look. I keep debating those very wheels. Might pick them up with some new All-Season Mich Run Flats in the next 6 - 12 months. Of course, I am also waiting to see what the C9 body changes bring! That could be the next big money drop!!!

I have a few updates on the way, black mirror caps, black side skirt guards, inexpensive carbon fiber engine surround cover, and DIY LED lighting for the engine. I hope I can get-er-done by Friday night.

I did get everything done. I am going to have to redo the LED lights. The lights I ordered have a silicon waterproof cover. I thought it had adhesive tape on the back but it doesn't. The 3m tape does not adhere to it very well. It is on, but I expect it will eventually come loose. It looks good IMHO.

The engine surround turned out good too. I need to print something for the round opening.

Yesterday was my car's one year anniversary of rolling off the assembly line, I drove her to work and washed her up when I got home.

Lake Placid, NY ⛈️🌲

Shot with a full-frame mirrorless setup to really capture the reflections from the storm. Camera was set low and centered.
Camera: Sony A7 IV
Lens: Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II at around 35mm
Settings: f/2.8. 1/60 sec, ISO 400

Polarizer filter to control reflections on the paint and windshield.

Waited for the storm to roll in and timed the shot with the lightning in the background. The actual exposure is quick, but getting the right lightning strike and reflections probably took 20–30 minutes of waiting and multiple shots. Wet pavement helped a ton with the reflections and contrast against the red paint.

Edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic and Adobe Photoshop for contrast, storm grading, and bringing out the highlights in the body lines without overdoing it.

Z06Sick6.... GREAT photo !!!

With 20 to 30 minutes to get the shot, just you just leave the car sitting in the middle of a 2 lane road? What did you do about any traffic coming by? Just wave them by???

I swapped steering wheels with a fellow forum member and added magnetic paddle shifters.

Thank you! Due to the early time plus desolate road there wasn't many cars at all. The few that came just went around via a wave. Wasn't the easiest but was well worth it based on the outcome!

And the only reason I ask is because AI thinks it made it.

Gave my '23 it's first actual wash since just before I put her into storage last fall. She still cleans up pretty well.

My 1st reaction was fake/AI.
1. Notice the reflection of the red bumper is in horizontal alignment with the car. Now look at the headlight reflection, just the opposite. The reflection looks vertical to the actual headlights.
2. Notice the width of the lane the car is in. Now look at the width of the other open lane. Very different. Should be the same for a double-yellow lanes.
3. The water on the blacktop doesn’t look right. Looks more like ice.
4. There are several vertical white lines on the closest mountain. These lines are reflected in the water.
5. The far away mountain range just doesn’t look right. The frame focused close on the car, the mountains far away would not be focused that way.

WOW I wish I knew. Why would someone fake an AI image on the Corvette Forum? What does he or she have to gain? Weird.
