So I just did a track day with 30 minute sessions. It was about 87 degrees out. My intake temps never topped 91 (and my coolant never went above 214). I drive relatively hard for the average track day driver).
I'm not sure how much "colder" a CAI is going to make the air.
I have a new 2017 GS. I was looking for an additional 50-75 HP. Starting w the easiest and cheapest ways to the more involved and exspensive ways? I'm not looking to race or drag it. I'm just wanting to add some more power. Thanks for any information.
Congrats on the GS, had a GS C6 and loved it.
Consider some 4:10 gears when they become available. They make a car feel lighter and more responsive, while leaving the motor stock. Way more fun to drive IMHO. Plus with a M7, you have more than enough overdrive to keep the rpm's low on the highway. I will make that my first mod on my 2017 zo6 M7. I can not wait until they hit the market!
Every option 2LT including Comp Seats. Lgeber03@gmail.com. 6k miles and asking $64k. Immaculate and faster than a Z06
Many other extras too. Z06 hood, Caron side vents, ACS rear vents, Corsa Exhaust and more.
Wow, a little sensitive I see. Lol. Since I've became a member of this site I've gotten some great information from other people and even given some myself. I cant find anyplace where I "flaunted" anything about my car. Maybe next time just don't bother replying to anything I post. I'd rather deal with positive people who aren't so sensitive or so quick to try and critique others. Thanks for the spoonfed info.
I want the exact opposite, i want a site that will allow people to post reactions without having to worry about getting banned, or having some dude report you because they got their feelings hurt! Treat us like men and leave us alone. Sometimes people need to be called out for what they post! If you are being a dumb arss then someone should be able to tell you so!
2019 C7 GS manual
EOS 1 7/8" Headers ~$600
E85 Kit ~$300
Tony Mamo ported TB $460 (mostly to fix the lazy tip in issue)
Tune - depends on tuner
Stock was 393/372 to 430/430 with ~55% E85 mix.
The above is the "easiest/cheapest bolt ons" you can do that are worth their price of admission. Intake manifolds and giant TB's on a stock motor are not worth the price for the minor gains.
