If you are really concerned about future collectable value...watch out.
"Instant Collectibles" have a spotty resale history.
GM pioneered the "limited edition" market with the1976 Bicentennial Edition" Eldorado Convertibles...the "last American convertible".
We know how that turned out.
Likewise the Limited Edition '78 Corvette Pace Car which wasn't so limited with with 6500 produced.
While both trade for more money today than their non-SE counterparts, nobody got rich from them.
Ask owners of the various pace Car replicas.
Buy one because you like it...don't expect a huge windfall when it is time to sell it.
But with just 250 produced, at least you can be sure of not seeing another at your local Corvette show.
