There are some on eBay. I have a few, where do you find the manufacturing date? The only obvious date appears to be a 1995 trademark or similar.

You have to be careful on the eBay ads. I have bought some that give the part number of 12626224 but they ship you the current replacement model (which is a different GM part number) which is not what I am looking for to have it “all original “ for NCRS judging coming up.
The date is paint etched on the top of the oil filter; for example the one I am attaching a picture of shows the following:11089H1

[Plant Code][Julian Day][Year][Shift/Line]

Breaking it down

1
  • Plant or production line identifier
1089

This is the key part, but it splits like this:
  • 108 = 108th day of the year
  • That = April 18
  • 9 = 2009
H1
  • Internal batch / shift / tooling code
filter was made:

April 18, 2009

Great post. You are right about eBay. Thank you for the info. Saw the print you mentioned on the top side of the one I looked at. Have several to look through. Will post a pic in this thread if I have one that fits your request.
Thanks again,
Bill

All that I have are exactly this same date (pics), only what I believe are the minutes are different.
The blue seen on the top left corner of filter is a reflection. It looks like a year of 2005. If this works send a pm. Filter is new and looks it.
