Default Stock Z07 ride height? How much rake

I just measured my stock (not lowered) Z07 and was curious what every one else was at. Measuring from the ground to the fender, im at 27.5 inches in the front and 28.5 inches in the rear. Exactly 1 inch of rake. I may lower on stock bolts in the future.

That roughly translates to about 700/725 mm. My car was also very similar in height from factory.

Per service manual for FE6 and FE7:
Front: 699mm +- 10mm.
Rear: 743mm +- 10mm.
Rake target: 44mm

More from my build thread here.

Although my car does not have the Z07 package, my 15 Z06 is set at stock height, it is 27.5" front and 28.5" in the rear as yours is. When I bought the car last year it was lowered all the way down on the stock bolts, it made the tires wear out on the inside edges of all 4 tires, I assume the previous owner didn't have an alignment done after he lowered it, and the front end would scrape going in and out of driveways and parking lots. I raised it back to stock height to get more clearance and put new tires on it and had the alignment checked.

Hi There. Where did you guys measure to exactly, the top of the arch in the wheel well? My Z is lowered as low as it can go on stock bolts and I would like to return it to stock height.

I just rechecked the measurement on my car, the rear height was measured to the top of the wheel well, fiberglass panel, it was 28.5. The front height on mine was 27.5 to the black trim piece on the outside of the front wheel well, I guess it is a splash or rock guard, if I measured to the actual top of the painted fiberglass wheel well, it is 28". When I raised the height of my car back up, I ran all the bolts down as far as I could and set every bolt to where I could just barely feel the top thread on the bolt with my finger nail on every bolt and set every one the same. I wanted to raise it as high as I possibly could, but did not want to over do it. You need to set every bolt to the same height so the car will sit correctly. Setting them back up was no problem, but on the right front, I did have to unhook the bottom of the shock absorber and push it up to get it out of the way and then reconnect it when I was through running the bolt down. Maybe you won't have that problem if you have the correct tool.

Here are the specs from the FSM and a description of how to measure the height on the fenders.

When measuring at the wheel openings you are using the P and R specs. Pay attention to the Note under the chart.

Very interesting and informative as usual Mr. Bill. Have never seen this information but went back and double checked my measurements against these show on the charts. Looks like I should be pretty close and within the tolerances on the set up on my car. Pretty good for just back yard guessing I suppose. Thanks

I have a C7 GS Z07, and am running the recommended rake (40mm). However I found the rear end to be extremely loose on corner entry. Adding trail braking, the car would over steer very easily. front and rear Toe/Camber are in spec. Planning on lower the rear to reduce the rake to 20mm ish to settle down the rear a bit...

I could never be caught dead with a C7Z at stock height (4x4). Mine is lowered all the way around on stock bolts and I had it aligned after lowering it and it looks/ drives amazing. Gets compliments on the stance almost daily. To each their own

Have you had the chance to measure the ride height post lowering all the way? and corner balance? Im dialing in the rake only because factory recommended rake is giving me unwanted chassis dynamics on track.
