Well, back to the old problem. 1987 C4 wiper module, Ive got intermittent wipe, slow and fast wipe. The problem is no washers.
the wires to the washer pump works, The circuit board components look ok. Ive soldered a few dry joints but still no washers.
Voltage readings seem ok to manual.
Ive tried to buy a used one on ebay but being in the UK, the sellers will not ship or ebay wont let me complete. plus I get import duties on top.
My question is, my circuit board is 22038284 Rev 8.
Googling suggests other GM truck wiper motors but they are different shaped boards SO has anyone tried an alternative GM/AC Delco board to solve?
On the early c4's the circuit bord completes the circuit to the pump but it is not needed for the pump to run. I removed my circuit board and cut off the cover for valve cover clearance. I jumped two wires at the module and added a ground wire to the motor. I no longer have intermittent function but everything else works including the pump.
Ive found out about the earthing as when loose fitted the motor sparked against the rocker cover when moving.
Since I posted, Ive found the fault being with the switch, its been apart before.
my question still stands about the retro fit of another board
