Default Distributor / Vacuum Advance Help Needed

update: Got the vacuum advance can swapped and everything back together, but now I have no spark…

Everything is connected correctly, as far as I can tell. What could have changed in doing this job that would result in no spark? No power to the distributor. Checked fuses and all are Ok.

1971 Running Points

goal: Change Vacuum Advance Mechanism.

issue: Vacuum Mounting screws are blocked by plate.

The base plate is blocking access to the mounting screws. I managed to get one out, but there must be a better way.
the plate doesn’t rotate freely either, which it probably should.

no spark - points not connected to coil wire in photo. Need to put wire back on point set.

that photo is from the first issue, not the points/power issue. I think i just need to regap the points. I have power to the points, but there’s no spark. It got to be the points gap or the condenser.

Set gap to .019" for new points when on the high tip of the lobe. Should fire up.
