Couple of things to mention.
The thingiverse version is the first prototype version I made and new version has some differences:
  • Thingiverse version has the bracket wider the new bracket is the same size as the Valentine One bracket, so esthetically much better
  • the new version also has metal inserts in the claw part and the bracket, therefore if anyone needs to remove and put back it can be done many times without weakining the threads.
  • the new version comes with Escort mount which I developed remotely with another forum member, it will need testing and confirmation so consider it as a beta release.
  • my brackets come with all the hardware and seated metal inserts. I use either stainless steel or hardened steel bolts.
  • shipping is included in my price (most of the time overnight with Fedex)
  • if you break it for any reason, I will send a new part to you, though it did not ever happen, this is not a forever thing, you can consider as a few years warranty
  • I give money back guarantee, if you do not like it for any reason, I will take it back, which also never happened so far.
I am not against people going and printing themselves or having someone print it for them, hence the reason I've put it on thingiverse.
Having said that, I am not necessarily planning on updating thingiverse constantly with all improvements and new options.
Ive had mine for a few months now and still loving it! Great product, thanks for all youve done for us Caglar!

I’ve tried my “account” wont let me. Says “If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.” I’m not sure if it’s because I barely joined yesterday I’m “new” to this forum

@LarryMow I’m new to the forum so it doesn’t let me “PM” just yet I guess. I understand you can get in contact with the guy who makes them, I’m interested in purchasing a mount can you tell him for me by chance? I’m not sure if he’s fine with just giving out his contact info like that thanks!

I have been receiving private messages and emails for an Uniden R8 mount. Members sent me a few photos and looking at the photos of how R8 is mounted, it is challenging to create a mount without the detector at hand.

I contacted Uniden to see if they can send me a radar even if it is a non-working or dummy one. If they do, I am planning to build one for Uniden R8.

I just bought and installed one of Cergun's radar detector mounts, and I am very happy with it. Cergun was easy to deal with, and shipped it promptly. The fit and finish was great, and the detector mounts close and tight to the mirror, and is level with the mirror horizontally and vertically. A+ for Cergun!

I looked all over for a Blend Mount, and after talking to the company, they have discontinued their mount for the C6. They said they can no longer get the parts. I have several Blend Mounts for other cars, and the overall fit of Cergun's is just as good, and 1/3 of the price.

Are these available for the Cobra 480i or Uniden R3 or R4? Still deciding on a detector.
