FYI, their wait list is a bit deceiving. At 331 you are realistically about 30th in line and will get an allocation fairly quickly (within a few months). Many of the people on the list are either not financially ready or want options that are restricted, primarily exterior carbon fiber options.
lol...your reply is both encouraging and discouraging!!!
Financially, i am ready.
BUT, i am one of the ones dead set on exposed CF Z07 and CF wheels.
Nonetheless, I am hopeful that i will see it within a year or maybe a bit less. Mentally i am fully prepared to wait an entire year.
You won’t have to wait long.. I was only a few spots ahead of you and I placed my order with aero today!!
wait...what!
Okay, okay, after 26 years in the Army, its not in my nature to get overly excited. I typically approach everything with a hurry up and wait mentality.....buuuuuuuuttttttttt, man o man! That's some great news.
Its crazy, because "the internet" was just telling me yesterday that exposed CF constraints are very, very, very limited.
As to not get to excited to then be crushed, i will remain pessimistically optimistic.
Congratulations to any recent and soon to be new owners of the C8 Z06. My 2024 just turned 24 months "old" and it is the most fun car I have owned. All the new owners should definitely check out Ron Fellows / Spring Mountain experience as a way to learn about and learn to drive this fantastic machine. That experience opened my eyes to the track capabilities of the Z06 and gave me the confidence (at my advanced age) to join a local track. Tracking may not be everyone's thing, but I love the opportunity to occasionally remind myself why I bought the Z06.
"self, i will NOT check the MacMulkin page every hour in anticipation of the Tuesday update."
"self, you don't have to be overly concerned with your spot on the roster. You are an adult, not a child, relax and grow up." "You have only been on the list for 2 weeks, RELAX rookie."
But, i have been click on it very hour...obsessing, and anticipating.
Well I received some great news today. My order is at status 3400 and I have a VIN. Corvette Concierge let me know that this means the car is in production and will likely be completed by Friday. Order was just placed on May 15. This is my 4th C8 and second one from MacMulkin. I have never seen an order progress so quickly.

I have to do more Internet research. Admittedly, I am ignorant to the Corvette ordering process.I placed my order approximately six days after yours and I’ve seen almost 0 movement.

You may be a victim of constraints.
Terrible job by Chevy IMHO. Making an awesome car and not having it available to be ordered as the customer specs it. And to be honest, constraints have barely shown any progress in the past 2/3 years.

hmm, that would be true, if anyone knew what I wanted to order. But, my only communication with the dealer has been my $5k deposit and email confirmation of being on the list.
So, unless they are psychic, how do they know what i want? Specifically it states the order will not be taken until you are contacted?
My assumption, and the way the paperwork is written, you progress up the list, then at some point you are contacted to make an order... then you make order, they review, address constraints, then decision point and so on...

Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
