Hello all,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I just purchased an 08 C6 Z06 couple of weeks ago. I come from the BMW world, but always wanted a C6 Z06. Got very lucky and found this specific Z06 at a dealership in Southern California (Simpson Chevrolet of Irvine) with a little under 13k miles. Car is getting full paint protection film installed on it. I'm trying to figure out what work was done on it since there's a gap in its Carfax report, so I'd think I have to search in the regional section. Also, I have started searching on where to go for the heads (AHP or Mamo), and what next steps will be. Looking forward to a whole lot of learning here.

It's a beauty, w/ only 13K a real unicorn.
As a fellow '08 owner, you're in for a treat.

As for headwork.
AHP seems the go-to place for heads or, anything else Corvette FTM, 'local' to you to boot.
Now there're members who'll insist Mamo solves The Problem, permanently.
Maybe, maybe not -- Mamo's certainly are well engineered albeit pricey.

Much appreciated. It was a sensory overload the first time I drove it. Coming from modern BMW M cars, I love the simplicity of this car.

Congratulations on the beautiful C6 Z06.
They are absolutely amazing supercars once you get the cylinder head squared away,
Regarding the cylinder heads, I believe we are the only ones that can say we have our fixed LS7 cylinder heads that have now crossed over 100,000 miles since we fixed them.
Over the last 10+ years we have also fixed over 3,500 sets of LS7 heads. We are the number one LS7 cylinder head re-worker in the entire world
If you're looking for a true C6 Z06 specialty shop in Southern California, we are it, sir
Here's a current shot of our parking lot as of this morning:

We can either ship you out parts or do all the work here in-house for you
If you have any questions or want additional information, feel free to shoot me an email at hp@americanheritageperformance.com. I am always more than happy to answer any questions, elaborate on anything, and walk you through whatever you need, sir. Look forward to hearing from you and working with you

Will definitely do. I'm currently leaning towards your shop. Car is having PPF installed and will probably need couple of more weeks. I commute from Irvine to El Segundo every day and back, so you're definitely right in between. With that said, is the email you have listed correct? As in hp, and not ahp?

In the meantime, does anyone know what the little switch to the right of the traction control button is for?

Sounds good sir, I look forward to working with you. Regarding the email, yes sir. It's hp@americanheritageperformance.com (HP as in Horse Power). Regarding that little switch, it could be a number of things:
- My guess is it's a mild to wild switch for the mufflers.
-It could also be a switch for the fans.
- Less likely but possible is a line lock switch.
