1996 Grand Sport 5520 miles FX3 Red interior. This car is a SALVAGE due to water getting into the car. It was a couple inches in the floor. We replaced all the seat tracks and components. Car sold for 82k at Mecum before the water damage. Everything works as it should 49k OBO
Sold at Mecum in January, 2023, for $75,000 + 10% buyer's fee - $82,500 total.
It was one of the September, 2024 Florida hurricanes, if I recall correctly. Do a google search on the VIN - 1G1YY3251T5600435.
So many good cars lost in those hurricanes (and of course respects to people who didn't make it); I am glad that this car could be revived. I can't find the video, but Niko Brothers on Youtube filmed it sometime in late 2024, my heart stopped when I saw it amongst the field of flooded cars.
Edit - found it. The car is visible at ~13:00, ~15:40, then footage of it from ~17:30-18:00 or so. Search Youtube for "Tons of Hurricane Flooded Super Cars Florida IAA Worth Bidding on?" -- don't want to link directly here as it blows up the clip and consumes the post.

Yes this is the car. Thank you for more info on it.
I think it might be a hard sell because no one knows what might happen down the road due to its water damage. It's a beautiful and rare GS and I could see why it brought that money in its last auction. Good Luck.

Taking that in consideration most people don't drive the very low production cars for a couple reasons mostly miles. This one I think someone could show it drive and have a good time at a discount. I took it out for a couple drives and it's a great car. I have a twin turbo LT5 Lingenfelter car that I don't really drive to much. maybe I'll unload that a cruise this around I kinda like the convertible.
