I did take pictures while installing but nothing very exciting. The pictures were more along the lines of knowing how it goes back together.
I replaced the factory GPS unit in the 2009, it has updated the interior a bunch.
I also popped out the cigarette lighter under the arm rest to run the USB to make it look like it was supposed to be there.
Did you install a backup camera while you were at it. I like the USB in the armrest idea. So you leave the phone plugged in, in the console while driving?

I didn't want to tear apart the interior so I did not install a backup camera. The whole process of installing the new radio took around 3 hours but now that I know what I'm doing I could have it apart in less than an hour if I ever wanted to install a camera.
I typically leave my phone in the center console while driving so I bought a 6 inch usb cord and will leave it plugged in while I'm driving around. The radio was discounted when I bought it so I didn't want to pay more for wireless carplay when my phone lives in the console already.

I hear there can be issues with wireless car play and Android auto. So going wired seems like the way to go, plus your phone gets charged at the same time. Enjoy your new head unit
What issues did you hear about CarPlay? I just installed a Sony XAV9000ES with front and rear cameras. Now my TPMS is not functioning. I turn off head unit by holding home button, still TPMS not functioning. I pull radio fuse and then TPMS is OK.

Did you mount the gps anteana near the RCDL which is right over the radio or mount the interface unit close by? If so it can cause interference for the key fobs and the TPMS systems and removing the fuse would render the radio and gps systems dead and your problem would go away as you describe. Move the interface AKA PAC unit down low and left of the radio and mount the gps antana to the right over the glove box. Good Luck
