My 2001 C5 manual has only a cat back. But I get a C5 manual for few years back in 2008 and a generic tune (CAI+Cat back) and the result was nice.
Not much power but car feel snappier.
So, with my current C5 I try to replicate this feeling.
I previously Tune a 2011 Camaro (enabling flex fuel, advance table, PE ratio, Torque management, calibrate MAF VVE......)
Here are my Tune details:
CAGS: 283F
Fan strategy: ON 212/ OFF 204 & ON 219/ OFF 211 ignition off: 210F 90sec
Tq management max out
Stoich AFR: 14.13 (adaptation to 10% ethanol of 93 premium gas)
PE TPS vs RPM: 50 50 50 50 50 50 50 45 40 35 30 26 26 26 26 26 26 26 26
PE ratio 1.136
PE delay at 0
I'm wondering if my TPS table should be a little bit more aggressive earlier like this:
0-1200 --> 60%
1600 --> 55%
2000 --> 48%
2400 --> 40%
2800 --> 35%
3200 --> 30%
3600 and above --> 26%
I’m actually working on adjusting my tune for the Premium 93 E10 gas I usually get down the road. I was going to run a diagnostic first. Then I will switch my stoich ratio first to 14.12 and PE to 1.16 to match the lambda 0.87 value it is currently tuned around. I will see how that works and then potentially go down to Stoich at 14.12 and PE at 1.176 to get closer to 0.85 Lambda or 12.0 AFR. My fans are turned down kinda low right now so I’m actually going to change those values too. It currently has fan1 on 183 off 173 and fan 2 on 186 and off 181. I don’t want them to run all the time so was going to go for fan 1 on 210 off 203 fan 2 on 220 off 211. Also my CAGS min temp is set to 236 F and they didn’t change ignition off fan it’s 284 for 1 sec.
