Had ZR1X delivered today and paint is peeling off significantly from exhaust heat shield. Looks terrible.GM has a problem and cannot allege " normal wear & tear". 4 miles on it. Notice several other same complaints. GM needs to address this. Setting that aside, the car is stunningly beautiful and likewise to drive.

I agree that’s crazy on a brand new ride. Side note: how do you like the stock exhaust? Just didn’t know if you thought about aftermarket. Good luck and you have a sharp looking ride.

car was delivered from out of state dealer. However, they agree it is factory defect and are working diligently with GM to address the issue. Local 3 Chevy dealers will not touch it or take the car in. Says they have no one to work on it. BS!
If is easy to access and remove, why not remove the part, remove the old paint and refinish with high heat paint. If that is a hassle, let the warranty deal with it.

As I noted before, local Chevy dealers declined to work on the car regardless if the car is new. Not familiar with how to access and remove to repaint. What is the procedure. Please PM me with that info.
