@westsdad VLAND is telling me that since I have to put my foot on the brake to start the car, that cancels the start-up animation and I'm never going to see it. I have an M7 so no remote start for me. Also, I tried just unlocking the car and that didn't activate it either.

As far as I know, I only need to press the clutch pedal to start my M7, not the brake.

For vehicles with an automatic
transmission, press the brake
pedal, then press the ENGINE
START/STOP button on the
instrument panel. For vehicles
with a manual transmission,
press the clutch pedal first,
then press the ENGINE
START/STOP button.

You are 100% correct, and I'm an idiot!
Still didn't fix the issue with the lights though lol.

Update:

I know everyone has been on the edge of their seat with anticipation with my ongoing saga. I finally got the start-up animation to work. All I had to do was unplug the black/green connectors. This is opposite of what the new instructions tell you to do and opposite of what the company was telling me to do.
Thanks @westsdad for your trouble shooting assistance!

I wish they would make c8 style side mirrors. The c7 mirrors are plain. Nothing wrong with the rear end IMO.

Just went for a drive and found a cool new trick that it does. Everytime I put the brakes on, the radio goes to static.

I am guessing you mean FM radio? I have XM, so I never use the FM radio. For what it is worth I just tried and at least on FM and mine does not interfere with FM radio on even weak stations. Sorry I could not be of more help here.

Yes FM radio, and it is primarily the weaker stations. I should note that I didn't actually completely remove the back bumper. I kept all the wires connected so I'm not sure if something came loose or not. I'm definitely not taking it back off just to double check.

Is the tail lamp wiring run close to one of the two antennas?

I'm honestly not sure where the antennas were exactly so I can't answer that. I am aware that the antennas are behind the bumper though.

Edit:
After some research, and now knowing what the antennas look like, I can say yes the wiring is probably pretty close to the antennas.

I also did not completely remove the rear bumper either - just pulled out the top enough to get at what I needed to. The connectors don't have a lot of room to move around.

I recall another thread where a certain forum vendor released LED side lights that interfered with the TPMS sensors - and those where not doing animation.

Yeah I've read all about the side markers setting off the TPMS sensors. Some day maybe I'll get bored and take the back bumper off and check things out.

I like these....alot. Though curious why the start up animation lights which are also brake lights appear to have red lenses, but looks like they light up orange. Is it just me that sees this?

They're not orange, it's just the video. They might be slightly lighter color red but they definitely are not orange.

Yep, it's just an artifact of the Samsung S22 phone video due to the overall exposure mode, white balance, and brighter light output of the tail lights.
