Default What's Included in the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects Option

The description says "Includes front splitter and rockers". I get the front splitter, but the Z06 already has rockers. Is the rocker material changed from SMC to carbon fiber, or are the rockers a different design, or both?

You actually answered your own question. Yes it takes the front plastic splitter and side skirts off and replaces with carbon fiber. I thik the rockers look the same, but you can double check on the configurator on the site.

The rockers look the same if you get the carbon flash painted CF rockers.

The CFZ option was on constraint when I ordered my C8Z so I got the car without. I was pleased when the car came in that the rockers were the same shape and painted carbon flash. I bought a carbon flash composite front splitter and saved about $1500. I do a good amount of performance events and am not into all the true carbon fiber add-on baubles.

This sounds perfect to me. Do the parts just bolt on where the lower body colored bumper piece is? Do you have the part numbers of what you bought?

I bought the C7Carbon front splitter. It does just bolt on although they suggest taking off the front fascia to do it. I was installing the Scrape Armor grill guards at the same time so had the front fascia off.

You can check the C7Carbon site for the splitter and there are other makers of the aftermarket front splitter that have gotten decent reviews. One maker advertized on the C8Z forum in the last couple of days.

If you're only doing the front splitter WITHOUT THE CANARDS (I call 'em whiskers') you don't have to remove the front fascia. BUT you do have to remove over 50 fasteners to get the standard splitter off then reinstall the new 'ground effects' version. Not hard to do but time consuming.... about and hour and a half. Bpught mine from APSIS. They have 'em listed here in either Carbon Flash or Carbon Fibre for around $1000 plus shipping. You won't be able to tell them from the OEM's.

Anybody want to buy the standard splitter I took off??? It's listed in the For Sale section.

Are these parts 100% carbon fiber, or are they fiberglass or some other material covered in carbon fiber?

Yup! The front splitter that I had installed from Apsis is finished in Carbon Flash but from the backside you could tell they are carbon fiber. Very light also.

I kept the factory side skirts and just added the apsis front spoiler looks just like the factory and saves a lot of money.

Correct the front is a 3 piece, I won't say easy or hard you really need a lift and you have to remove a lot of screws and panels so it just takes a little time and a few tight areas but overall if handy at all it's not bad.

Did the exact same thing on our '24 Z HTC..... Looks 'exactly' like the factory splitter. Time consuming because of all the fasteners but not really hard to do. You do have to get the front end off the ground though.
