Anyone else have a 2026 and discovering that the "new" wireless charger won't charge an iPhone 16 Pro Max? It keeps faulting out for me. The rear wireless charger works fine. My kids iPhone 14 Pro Max charges fine.
I took it into the dealer and they had another 2026 there and same issue. I waited a month and the dealer said GM said they are looking to address it as a software update, but not ETA.
This phone wireless charges in my 2020 Expedition, 2023 Kona and my 2026 Ioniq 9 with no problems.
Seems like a pretty big testing issue hole from GM with the 2026. If you are dropping $150K, you would expect the "new" feature to actually work?!
I had a Colorado ZR2 and have traded it in around this time last year. The wireless charger in that truck was terrible. And as soon as I saw the 26’ redesigned dash I knew the phone charger was going to be problem. The charger in my 25 works great because it hold the phone tight to the charging pad. I do understand it is a PITA to reach back and use it.
I cannot believe chevy has not had a class action suit on the chargers in these cars. My ZR2 Colorado the phone charger was an option! It was a complete rip off.
On Samsung I have to set it to slow wireless charging to get it to charge reliably. At least it can be automated with an action where it connects to the car it sets to slow charging and disconnects it goes back to fast.

I've never seen a slow charging option on iPhone... It's definitely correlated to the power draw of the >= iPhone 14 Pro Max. It still is non-sensical that they didn't test in production phones that were from almost two years ago.
I'm not sure how a SW update addresses the issues though.
I have a '23 and at its best the Bluetooth is unreliable. I just plug my phone in with a usb center compartment and leave the ph there and it works just fine.
I have a 26 and the console charger is very spotty charging my 17 pro max. Sometimes it will sometimes it won't. I just bought a coiled cord now from Amazon I give up.

Yeah, I bought a USB-C cable, but that defeats the entire purpose of having the wireless charger there! I'm not giving up and at least the Chevy dealer escalated and Corvette engineers got back to them saying there would be a SW fix, but no ETA.... In the meantime, I hate plugging in a cable, so I just charge it in the waterfall... sigh. If you pay $150K for a car that has a new feature, one would expect it to work with a phone that has been in market for over a year...
Amazing... The other C8 that was at the dealershp that was built after mine, my phone also didn't charge in that vehicle. I wonder if there was some "mid-year" cost reduction on parts (like removing the locking gas cap in cars built >= Mar 26)? When was your car built? Mine was built in Feb. 26.

I know but at least you got some good information on a fix coming for us. Mine is a late September 25 build.

The first three or four weeks I have my 26 Z06 the wireless changer was very hit or miss, mostly miss. No matter how I positioned it in the holder it would only change maybe 1 out of 10 times. Not sure what happened but now it works perfectly all the time, I can just slap it in the and it works…. If there was an OTA update done I was not aware of it…but it works great now.
