2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (performance mods)
C4 of Year Winner (performance mods) 2019
Haha, funny. I ended up doing the same thing, not really intentionally, but I ended up with three white pearl vehicles. The Genesis came first, then the ATS-V, then the 70th Z06. I was joking with my wife last night that it's time for a new car for her so we can have a different color in the garage.
Well we have a red 2022 SR, a red 2020 F150, a red 2020 Explorer ST, a red 70 Chevelle, and a red 97 Gold Wing, all varying shades of metallic deep red but very close in color. Not really planned but it's the color that just grabs at us............we also have a 72 VW Beetle in bright yellow
I did the same thing. 2023 Silver Flare and a 2025 Solar Silver Honda Civic Sport Touring HYBRID Hatchback. 200hp/232 lb-ft torque.
The Honda has some decent kick in SPORT mode but could use better tires than the OEM rubber.
Op cars looks nice...On the stripe...I suggest no...your Corvette has a soul and it'd be as little ticked off if you do get the Civic a stripe..(and no fart can for the atkinson either)...
So with insane gas prices I decided to get a more practical daily. So got myself a 2025 Honda Civic Sport Touring Hybrid. Peppy little car, nice tech, great Bose sound system and over 40mpg city driving. Now I can afford to put gas on my C8! But the funny part is the color……

I agree...but then they don't actual work on a non hybrid either... Enjoy those cars brother! Wife has a 2020 bought new and its been great..but not a hybrid..Next one probably will be and either another Accord or the Civic and will be Hybrid......Hers has 65k so far...Just a battery and four tires and front brake pads other than fluid changes..still looks new.
If you want or need one....fine...if you think you are saving money....you're not.
Why you say that? It already has. My previous car a VW Arteon, while a beautiful car it sucked mpg for daily city driving plus it required premium gas.
I am getting on average 40+ mpg around town on regular gas and service wise the Honda is way more reliable than the VW.

Do the math....cost of 2025 Honda Civic hybrid - Google Search....... the annual operating coast is about $10k and that does not include annual lost opportunity cost of about $3k....a second car to save money is expensive.
Obviously your numbers will be your numbers. I am not a Certified Public Accountant nor a Certified Financial Planner. If you think you are saving money that is all that is important. As I said " ....if you need or want. "I am no Jay Leno but, I have plus or minus 12 cars at any one time and I only need one...but I want more and they are a variety of different colors

The Honda wasn’t an “added” car but a replacement car. It replaced another car that I owned outright, and was a gas guzzler which required premium gas. The Honda cost me $4k out of pocket with trade-in which will not take long to recover. I’ve already saved around half on gas what I was spending in a month. And I ended up with a much more reliable car (hopefully) that in turn will be cheaper to maintain.
Bass I understand that and it is possible that your reduced operating costs are offsetting the increased costs of a new vehicle.... especially depreciation and lost opportunity cost....but most importantly, it doesn't matter what I think......if you are happy with your choices that is the only thing that matters......bart..

Well hopefully depreciation will not be an issue The Civic is listed as #6 in vehicles with the lowest 5-Year depreciation.
