Temperature will be mild in the morning, but I have something in the front that I do not want to get too hot. What has been your experience with traveling on the highway? Does the frunk get over 100°?
Not sure how hot, however when I bought my Eray I wrapped the frunk and trunk, both are cooler, I still will not put ice cream in for more then a 10 minute drive home.
no issue with food shopping in my 25 e trunk with a 35 minute ride home in florida heat , i would not ever leave an aerosol can in there . On long hauls with anything iffy it goes in the fronk .....now getting the fronk auto pull down to work 100 % is another story even after the dealer just replaced the latch .
I drove for about an hour and a half with a small generator up in the front. I'm always a little bit extra careful when gasoline is involved. I did not remove it right away, but I did not notice any heat at all coming from the front after that Highway drive.
Anyone wanting to monitor the trunk temps, you can get a wireless thermometer on amazon for like 10 bucks, watch the temps as you go down the road.
For a bit more you can get one that monitors multiple points.

I did a 275 mile round trip to Arizona and back today with our corvette club. I kept sodas and waters cooled by a couple of ice packs in a Playmate Igloo in my E-Ray frunk. After 10 hours the drinks were still ice cold but our snacks kept out of the Igloo in the frunk were quite warm. I wouldn’t keep any chocolates or makeup for your wife in there.

On a recent road trip I measured 118F in the frunk on my Z06. This was roughly a 7-8 hour driving day, no real hammering on it, with the front license plate filler removed for max airflow, and probably mid 90s ambient. I had previously measured 112F on my previous 25 E-Ray in the frunk over a similar drive with lower ambient temps (May of last year, mid 80s ambient) and front plate filler still installed.
FYI, I also installed the euro underbody air deflecors on my Z, and while I don’t have pre-install temps, the trunk on a 12 hour driving day, with low 90s ambient temps was only 106F. So the euro air deflectors do seem to help keep the trunk cooler. Our luggage, while warm, was noticeably less hot than I’ve noticed on previous C8 road trips.
