Default Water Spots

My car is garage kept, used lightly and not exposed to the elements.
I am very careful when washing and drying my car.
I use a foam gun with quality ceramic soap.
Car is dried out of the sun with an air dryer.
The car was ceramic coated about 5 yrs ago and recently had the car professionally treated with a clay towel and paint sealer.
This morning I noticed what appeared to be water spots all over the finish.
I realize now I must be dealing with hard water at home.
What can I do to keep the spots from forming.
A buddy suggested an “iron remover” product.
Only thing is he thought it might affect the ceramic and paint sealer.
Would appreciate suggestions on what to use to keep the spots from forming.

I bought this from Amazon for the final rinse:
Amazon Amazon

Ive been using it since early April on my black C7 that is treated like yours and I was air blowing either early or late in the day with no sun overhead, but still was seeing spots on the finish. This took care of that. You still have to blow the car dry and I was using some ONR on a microfiber for some water spots but otherwise its been awesome.

A friend of mine suggested I try this product.
Jescar Paint Refresh Detail Spray.
Amazing stuff - immediately removed the water spots with a quick spray and wipe.
Still want to find a way to treat the water so spots don’t form.

There are quite a few YouTube videos on "spotless rinse" or "spotless car wash." You'll want a de-ionizing water filter - of which there are also many on the market. I went with the one linked below. I chose it because it's relatively easy to hook up and works at 4 GPM flow rate; most of the others are 2 GPM or less. You'll also want a water hardness tester - $8-10 on Amazon. My understanding is that anything less than 50 PPM is considered "spotless," but obviously lower is better.

I use the Spotless Water System DIW-20, works great. They have a number of options to choose from.

Strange you didn't have this problem before? I use drinking water and rainx car wash. No spots. Hard to do that with a foam gun but at some point you gotta say what is more important, my toys or my paint.

I agree - it is curious why I didn’t see these spots before.
I am very careful to throughly dry the car with an Adam’s mini air cannon to prevent swirls.
I may start using a quality drying towel to see if it makes a difference.
Spots did clear up after using Jescar Paint Refresh.

Maybe the city water changed. I think a water softener could help but can't water the grass with it.
