Drilling and tapping for water/ methanol injection.
Hello. I am installing a Snow Performance water injection kit on my and will need to install the nozzle soon. I wanted to get some opinions here. Has anyone tapped the factory plastic duct before the throttle body, or the Vararam power duct? I don't know how many thread revolutions I would get out of it if I did. I could add a nut on the inside, and some adhesive, but I don't know how I feel about that. That could end up going wrong should the nut ever decide to work its way loose. Perhaps there's something I haven't thought about, or perhaps I am overthinking it. May I get some opinions or experiences?
My 2004 C5 has an MP112 roots style supercharger on it, not intercooled, and was tuned with HPTuners. My MPVI4 is in the mail with the prolink cable. (recently sent in my MPVI1)
I don't plan on using methanol. On my last car I ran distilled water for the cooling, and that's what I plan on doing here.
