Default Soul or Fabspeed Cats

Anyone just put their cats on? They tell me just doing cats provides the best additional exhaust noise and turbocharger noise. Would love to hear from someone on here that did that mod and kept factory exhaust.

I posted in the other ZR1 exhaust thread the car that we just did with the Fabspeed full system but here's one that I took with just SOUL Catted Downpipes and OEM exhaust.

Adding the catback gives you maybe another 10% or so, majority of the volume gain is definitely in the Downpipes.

Give me a shout if you'd like to discuss options or for forum pricing

Yes doing cats itself is popular with the C8 platform, including the z06 and zr1.

Cats are great bang for buck for performance.

We do a lot of Soul with great feedback but lead times are long, Fabspeed is one week or less.

You'll be happy with either, we're dealers for both as well to help you.

How well do these cats live under heavy track use, particularly for the ZR1? Many aftermarket high flow cats die in high hp applications when worked hard.

Anybody got any durability/endurance data on Soul or Fabspeed cats in high hp boosted applications?

Just doing the cats, any issues with getting a CEL?

The last car that we did with Fabspeed Cats is often used at the track.

Fabspeed uses HJS Cats which are some of the best of the best, rated for 1200hp per bank and wrapped in Inconel heat blankets. Quality stuff..

No CELs from the cars that we've done

Fabspeed will not honor their warranty. I have a set on my Z06 and they get a CEL light. In the beginning when they started offering the high flow cats for Z06, they guaranteed no CEL light right on their website. This is why I purchased them. I've made many calls and multiple emails and just crickets. I've installed a few of the fabspeed cats on Z06s in my area at my shop. All got CEL lights. I will no longer recommend their product all because they will not honor their stated warranty. The nail in the coffin was not returning my calls for a refund. For my ZR1, I'll be looking into Soul.
I will give fabspeed this, the craftmanship and overall quality is top notch. All the way down to the packaging.

Thank you for sharing that about the CEL and the lack of service you received. Does soul not trigger a CEL?

They even state the same thing in the above post.
Not returning calls or helping with a resolution is poor service when you make claims like that and charge a premium!
