Default 96 LT4 Red/Red Z51

Updating my ad for the sale of my 1996 LT4 w/ Z51 suspension option including more pictures and detailed ownership history. 1 of 24 Torch red on red LT4's with Z51 suspension option. This car is an unmolested factory original that I would not hesitate to drive anywhere for any distance. The only reason I am selling is with the sole intent of finding a near comparable LT5, taking my time to find preferably a 94 or 95, would consider an earlier year with some ownership history and provenance. I don't want to part with my '94 LT1 driver and I don't want the responsibility of caring for 3 Corvette's. All features on this car funtion as they are supposed to including C68, DIC, turn signal stalk, doors, mirrors, all lights work. Door panels tight. All body rubber in excellent condtion. Has what appears to be a factory switch to turn off antenna function. Blows cold and hot. Drives and handles solid, secure and quietly. Comes with both FSM's, Owner's Manual, paperwork that came with the car new, receipts going back to September 2025, original window sticker laminated and CarFax. Firestone Firehawks are 7 years old, 2/3rds tread remain. Three minor imperfections stand out, 2 in paint (1 on hood, 1 by passenger side outer tail lght), chip on windshield (1/3 from outside driver's side) as noted in pictures and both visors are floppy these are the car's only issues. 53,841 miles of this writing. I have driven the car 2,179 miles since Nov.1, 2025 when i took ownership. 3 sets of keys and 3 working keyless entry fobs. $22,000, OBO, Fort Collins, Colorado

Steve, congrats on the opportunity... you would love the ZR-1. However, my $.02... keep the LT4, sell the LT1, buy the ZR-1. The LT4 and LT5 combination is a wonderful pair! (See my signature) What # '95 Z are you looking at?

Good luck!

Mike

Remember what I told you Steve..... Once you get into an LT-5 car, there's no turning back.... I agree, if you can, sell the LT-1 car and keep the LT-4...Hope you get the Z!!

Hey, Mike! I thought of that combination, but I don't want two manual transmission cars. The LT1 is my driver, taking month-long cross country trips in which I'm beginning to plan after an 11 day, 3,000 mile trip to South Padre Island, latter Feb-early March and I have stupid money in the LT1 after taking out a big-assed rock destroying the 4L60E in a pitch black night following a big-assed 4WD pickup rounding a curve at 45 mph. Being my first Corvette ever, I've installed new SuperPro, Van Steel, Ridetechs, Dewitts, Al Knoch covers, and a bunch of other work I've done to it. It's a very clean, well presenting, relatively well documented 8 owner (prior to me) car with first hand provenance going back to owner #6 a car that i have an emotional and existential attachment with... All done before imagining I'd become a two C4 owner... Until the LT1, I'd never owned anything even close to comparable to a Corvette ( a 1973 240Z and 1970 MGB don't compare), and I'd never dreamed of being a Corvette owner, much less 2, as I perceived a Corvette as being out of my financial grasp... and yet, here i am, in a position 2b able to maybe own a last year LT5...

Thanks for the good wishes! The deal is in progress, hopefully will consumate. It's red/red with 15,632 miles. i intend to drive it more than 500 miles a year such as has been, although it will be pampered. That's what my '94 LT1 auto is for, she's the war/work horse.

@CrimsonNCream thanks, I've stepped back from actively pursuing an LT5, the fever is gone, although I would like to find one to enjoy. Initially I was looking at low mileage ones (<20k miles), but reading more about them, I've expanded my search to 50k miles. Ownership care history, provenance, all or most everything functional, are my main parameters, preferred colors a plus, and being a 94 or 95. I could even consider a higher mileage car (<100k miles) with near impeccable history. My LT4 is such an exquisite example, everything works, paint has few teeny imperfections, so I find myself really somewhat reluctant to let it go, unless the "right" Lt5 appeared. My LT1 is my driver and touring car, I'm not concerned about accruing road wear, have so much money and work in it and have an affection for it's easygoing nature, so it's my keeper. If anyone showed interest in my LT4 for my asking price or close to it, I'd probably let it go which would also motivate me to actively pursue an LT5.

Last Saturday I took an impromptu 150 mile trip up to hot springs for the day, then turned around and drove home. The unmolested pristine factory condition of the LT4 with everything working makes me want to keep it, drive it often enough to not let the neglect of not driving it enough begin taking its toll. It's just that everything is so right about the car, other than not being an LT5, it would be difficult to find a another in comparable condition, LT5 or no LT5.

Such a beautiful C4, sure would be nice to be in the market! I noticed in your ownership history and the window sticker a discrepancy....perhaps you accidentally entered the VIN of your other C4!? Just wanted to say awesome car and make you aware👍

@'78CorvetteS.A. Thanks for catching that vin discrepancy which is my '94 LT1 and your kind words on the LT4. After the paint and window treatment, the car is nice enough that now i'm reluctanct to drive it which isn't what i want for the car but am in the market to sell it since I'm looking for a well maintained LT5 I will drive.

Steve,
You might consider this one and its in Durango... Grant is a super guy to deal with... He also had a white 90 driver needing a little work for sale, not sure if he still has that one though...

@81c3 thanks, Grant and I have been in contact, he's busy with work for the time being, so we have yet to discuss cars. Where are you located in Colorado?
