Yellow ZR1 has been sitting in the Carlsbad showroom for 3 months. I guess nobody is willing to fork over the $125,000 ADM...

LOL

Did you not see the "Contact us for pricing"?
Yes, there are lines out the door, but at MSRP. They are likely asking a lot more.

Then why do they keep saying that a $100k ADM is "the market". It sounds like the market is MSRP, but they are manipulating the market out of greed.

The market is what it is. The fact that they still have the car says they are above the market. But the fact that there are not ZR1's sitting on every Chevy lot says the market isn't at MSRP either. You can call it greed, capitalism, or maybe sour grapes. Most ZR1's are still selling above MSRP and probably will for a good while because people are still willing to pay more.

The fact there are not ZR1's on every lot does NOT say that. It says they have made 1398 ZR1's and there are 2865 Chevy dealers. So it would be physically impossible.

Of those 1398, 945 were ordered for customers, and 453 were dealer "inventory". Of the 453, only 235 have been sold. So there are still over 200 unsold or unspoken for ZR1's out there.

If the "market" was 100k over, they'd all be sold already. So the market isn't "what it is". It's what they are making it.

Oh well, it will change, as they plan to build 4000 ZR1 and 1500 X next year.

First, I don't believe there are 200 unsold or unspoken for ZR1's. I can't find them, I've looked. Autotrader can't find them either, they show 26 available nationwide, and if you call you'll find that number includes some already sold, customer cars. Second the market is set by supply (GM producing) and demand (customers). The dealer is neither. When customers are unwilling to pay ADM the price will fall, but right now there are more potential customers than GM produces. 5500 ZR1's and ZR1X's in a year? I don't believe the demand is there for that many, that expensive, Vettes. GM won't make more than wanted, plus suppliers can't keep up with parts demands now. Making that many may be on their wish list but isn't going to happen. As for 100K ADM, that's not the market either, hence still for sale. When they are willing to sell their limited availability car for what a customer is willing to pay, it will sell. THAT'S the market.

I just looked at Chevy's inventory on their website. From Topeka out 2000 miles they show 48 ZR1's and 19 ZR1X's in inventory. How about $441K for a ZR1X?

There are over 200 units between 3000 and 4000 status. You wont find them on autotrader lmao

In this case "supply" is the dealer, as they are holding on to them, trying to inflate the market. If supply was at or below demand, he wouldnt need to list it on Corvette Forum or Facebook. They all had buyers who wanted to order it their way, as should be typical for a quarter million dollar car. Instead, 453 were ordered by greedy dealers with garbage specs. I dont much care what you believe or what you think, GM was within just a few units of exactly what their projected numbers were for 2026, in spite of constraints, so I'll go with their numbers.

LOL
I was at Kearny Mesa Chevy a few weeks ago, and they had a ZR-1 in the showroom. It had a "sold" sign on it.
I asked, and they said it went for $50K ADM

As others have seen, you're not going to sell a ZR1 for 100K over, that's not the market. I'm surprised the Carlsbad dealer got 50K over, but hey, that's the market.

AFAIK, the car is STILL available. I haven't checked lately. Just checked their website. No Corvettes listed at all. So, maybe it sold...finally.

(Kearny Mesa and Carlsbad Chevy are 29 miles apart.)
