The Sony XAV9000ES is a small unit and the PAC is located below the Sony in my install. When turning off the HU would not the GPS antenna be dead? My thinking is that moving its location would not help. I really don’t want to take apart the console again.

Just turning off thr unit may or may not turn off the internal gps circuits but pulling the fuse will remove all power to the radio and attachmrnts.
