I got a 2024 mustang gt looking to trade into a c8 stingray I personally don’t have any preferences between the trims. Just wondering what’s considered a good price? I see a 2lt near me 45k miles for 56k
Anything under 60 is a good price depending on year.
2LT trim has a lot of good options and features. If you buy a 1LT car, you will be back in a year looking for a 2LT.

yeah I just looked up the differences, I definitely don’t care for 3LT, 2LT seems perfect. I’ll give em a call tomorrow hopefully get a good trade on my stang
Under 60K is a good deal. The 2lt has a lot more options and comfort features that you will like. It will also help you with resale. I would not consider a 1lt myself. Don't be afraid to expand your search. Some times a little trip is worth it. There is some great deals out there. You can find a low mileage C8 that is three to four years old in the low 60's. Have your local GM service department run the VIN to see what type of service history the car had. Best of luck on your search!
If the trim level is not important to you (it is not important to me either, I have the 2LT and it will be 1LT if there is a next time) there are 2026 1lt's advertised for under $75k and that is prior to negotiation. I would use that as my baseline when considering what a used vehicle is worth to me.

Biggest issue on used C8's is if they have received proper maintenance, especially transmission service.
And, a dealer can only see warranty work in the VIN search of service records, they can no longer see all dealer service records.
There’s one 3 hours away 2LT 58k$ with 35k miles best one I found that I can drive to, been on their lot for 7 months so I can probably get it down some
I'd try to find one from a private party with a transferable GM extended service plan. When you get it from a dealer they can't transfer. Then you don't have to worry about DCT issues when they're out of warranty.
Plenty of them out there...So don't buy one you can't get tranny/drive train warrantied and even if you can get extended GM you have to make sure proper GM transmission maintenance was performed and on time on the one you buy....... You don't want to be holding a 60k dollar car with a 20 dollar hole in the console...

Hopefully, this is still considered on-topic because OP is looking for the right C8. What is the absolutely must have, cannot live without feature of 2LT vs 1LT? Is there anything that is a consensus and not just personal preference? The only thing I might want is the front HD vision camera. I can live without the luxury features, HUD, and data recorder.

You've asked twice. I am not OP but I drive a Honda Accord V6 as a daily and I have an older GM V8 for fun. I would like to get a C8 with the LS6 next year. Perfect for me is 2LT but now I see a 3LT for similar price at 42k miles and they’re offering a nice trade in but they want me to come in so they can see my car in person and give a concrete offer

Weird, I have had my 1LT car since April of 2025 (Almost 19K on it) and have zero interest in upgrading to a 2LT.

Good luck, @Kashy. Keep us updated. Also, dealers do the nice little offers on the phone to get you into the showroom. Once you're there, they'll lowball your trade figuring you want that C8 pretty bad. Don't fall for it, as there are lots of other vehicles available. Hopefully, you already know what your trade is worth, have your own financing lined up as leverage for a better rate from them, etc.
