My Z06 only had 337 miles on it when I removed the intake to paint it. I noticed the driver's side air intake hose clamp on the air box was not tightened. It wasn't even finger tight. I also noticed the bolts for the air exchange blades between the two intake manifolds were not tightened to the same spec. Some were much tighter than others. Also neither electrical connector on the two throttle blades had the gray locking tab pushed into the lock position. I wonder if quality is falling away from the Z06 now that it is no longer the darling of the lineup.
If you look up into the intake runners of your intake you'll see flashing from the plastic mold creating protrusions and sharp edges that is not good for airflow. I smoothed all that out with a sanding roll.
Maybe I had the Z06 on too high a pedestal when I bought it. I don't know.
If it makes you feel better, i had 2 bolts on my intake runners (between halves of the manifold) that were completely off hahaha. Worse problems to have, but definitely not infallible
