I have a 2002 C5 convertible with the upgraded Z06 titanium exhaust. I am curious if anybody has swapped out an aftermarket exhaust for this exhaust. Overall, I’m just trying to get a little bit better sound and whenever HP gains I can get(which i know are probably negligible). Appreciate feedback.
There is zero power to be had from an aftermarket Cat-Back. As stated above the best option is the bypass mod - but you will need someone who can (TIG) weld titanium to install it https://trackspecmotorsports.com/col...bypass-mod-kit
This is my car with this exact kit and a X-Pipe which smooths the sound out a bit.
I recall years ago one of the IMSA teams did some dyno testing. On their full road racing car they found 12 HP removing the entire rear section. That was with a pretty wild engine.
