Default Mobile Tire Service Highly Recommended

Just used (again!) Ziptire (ziptire.net) and wanted to make sure that my Vette siblings here are aware…
I’ve mentioned them before but not started a thread about them. So, in case you’re looking for new tires, or just mounting/moving tires around on wheels, these guys are amazing.

they have always showed up on time, been very polite, super clean and really fast. They’re the only place that has ever properly aligned the tires on my wheels (red or yellow dot at valve stem).

in talking with the guy, I learned that some Porsches have super expensive center-nut wheels and they are one of the only places that will work with them. Apparently most places refuse because they’re too easy to damage and, as mentioned, very pricey.

i guess Porsche has them come out often to track days that they do in house and just change tires all day.

he said (and I can confirm) that their prices usually end up the same or about $100 more than a brick and mortar store. Which, for me, is worth not having to drive back and forth and/or wait for the shop to get to my stuff.

anyway, if you want to make sure your wheels are taken care of and have the enormous convenience of having it done wherever you want, I can’t recommend highly enough. Tell them Jeremy the stunt driver told you and it might get you a little break.

I’ve used Ziptire too, and having them come to you makes tire swaps way easier, especially with wider Corvette setups. Super handy if you don’t want to drag wheels to a shop.
