Oldest Z06 Driver.
I’m just glad I did not have to wait that long to drive a Z…Had a C7Z for 7 years and then got the C8Z about 9 months ago. I’m glad you’re older and driving a Z. Who cares what others think….
Recently, I have been the subject of some ridicule for selling my 2020 C8, Z51, Lt3, and buying a 2023 Z06 with 14 miles on it on BAT. Something about like am I too old to be living out my mid-life crises? I am long past having midlife issues. Side note, I think I was the last person to not have to pay a 5% fee for being the high bidder who did not meet the reserve, and still made a deal with the seller after the auction closed (They changed their rules recently).
These discussions, and some on this site about elderly drivers, piqued my curiosity about how old is too old to own a Z06.
I am 82, my wife is 80, and we can get into and out of the car with some grace (maybe a slight exaggeration). And we love it to death, and we are planning to circle Colorado, and the Million Dollar Highway, in a few weeks (and hoping for little rain with the Cup 2 tires).
That being said, are there any older seasoned seniors out there driving Z06's? Just curious. Have a nice day.

I’m 77, sold my 2023 2LT HTC. 2025 Z06 is ordered with a TPW of 9/30. Hopefully production timeline holds up and I receive the Z in late Oct or early Nov. This will be Corvette number 10. First one was a 1967 after getting home from Vietnam in 1968. They’ve all been the right car at the right time.
We don’t grow old when we’re driving Corvettes, we grow old when we stop driving Corvettes

I'm 79 and love my Z06! If I had the means I would get a ZR1 when they come out. Right now, I'm focused on going out on my birthday in March on my 450hp turbo Kawasaki and running over 200mph. I want to look back on that birthday with a smile on my face! You're only as old as you let yourself feel.
Recently was at a track day where the other Z06/Z07 driver along with me was a guy who looked to be in his mid-70's at the youngest. He was sending it in the Advanced group, using the car as intended. Godspeed brother!

One important piece of advice, remove the Cup2 Rs ASAP dude, you should not be road tripping on those EVER... they are dangerous in morning ambient temps, not just rain, and you are wasting VERY expensive R comp tires that are ONLY good for the track. Swap them for PS4s asap or you'll regret it, then schedule a track day and re-mount the Cup 2s for that. Have fun!
