Default C7 Z07 Engine Wiring Harness

I recently had some repair and modifications done on my 2019 C7 Z07. Apparently, during some of this work, the engine wiring harness was damaged so that it randomly will fail and the engine won’t run. Unfortunately the wiring harness is on backorder from Chevy and has been for a long time. So, it’s unknown if this will ever be produced again, which leaves me in a bind.
My question is will the wiring harness from a standard Z06 work on my car, will it fit, and what will not function as it should with a standard Z06 wiring harness installed?

Any help and insight is greatly appreciated! We are currently at the point of the Shop having to get the harness on his test bench to determine where the fault is.
Thank you!

Subscribe to Alldata DIY and look at the wiring and connector diagrams...your shop should be doing this if they are repairing it !!!

9sec you mention the Z07 package dealing with suspension and brakes. Will the 15-19 C7 z06 (non-z07) wire harness have the wiring for the brake wear sensors? Are you saying all 15-19 C7 Z06 have the brake wear wiring harness regardless of whether they have the Z07 option?

not on the engine harness. Brake sensors would likely be on the body control module harness and I would guess it’s tge same wear harness z07 or not since all c7 have wear sensors mag ride or not

Several forum members have, over the years, upgraded to the CCM brakes and have found that their non-Z07 cars didn't have the wiring harness for the brake wear sensors. The brake wear sensor system consists of a single wire that runs from one pin on the EBCM through all four calipers and back to another pin on the EBCM. When a worn brake pad breaks the wire, you get an alert on the dash.

Hi Bill,

Do you happen to have any insight into the engine wiring harness? Thank you all for your input.
