Default Trans tube going bad?

Hi everyone. Was taking my c7z out today and noticed a weird faint vibration from stopped to 20 mph. Then noticed this weird sound from the rear. Anybody have any experience on this topic?

Might not be what you want to hear but here goes:

Had a mystery noise in my TT as well on a 10k mile car. Had no idea, checked header fitment, tightened bolts, looked all over the forums. Brought it chevy, quoted me 11k for entire new trans/replacement. Said they were not going to open it up, I just NEEDED an entirely new drivetrain assembly. (again, a 10k mile car). The noise was not as bad as yours, but I would say similar. Just more towards the front end of the vehicle.

Both me and the late model GM shop I brought it to both thought the TT bearing was smoked. Buy the RPM kit, slap it in - everything will be fine. No way getting around dropping the entire trans to do this, so you are really paying for labor. And the entire driveline has to be dropped out on an A8. Well, they drop it out, take everything apart, and there was no obvious culprit to this noise. Bearing was fine, everything looked brand new. Replaced stock bearing with RPM kit since it was already out and that is supposed to be "better than stock", put it back together and now it's perfect.

I would suggest you follow a similar route and do not bother with chevy unless you have a full warranty and want a new trans that you might not need at all. Can't even imagine how long they will have the car if you do this also.
Find a good GM shop local to you and let them go through it. Do not let it turn into something catastrophic by hoping it will go away.

If you have an automatic transmission follow this procedure for torque tube installation. Otherwise you risk trashing the engine.

Torque Tube Bearing Rebuild Kit - RPM Transmissions

That is the kit. And like Ron said, it is crucial that the procedure is followed. Multiple people have killed their engines not following procedure correctly, which is why I suggested a well-known late model GM shop with experience on corvette TTs.

A south florida corvette shop quoted around $11,000 to rebuild TT on a c7 zo6 that included labor.

I think that includes a new carbon fiber driveshaft and circle D converter and trans tuning.

A written scope of work with the price quote is required. Don't "think you know the scope."

Just out of idle curiosity, assuming you are A8, have you had the triple flush done? Assuming you are pre-Feb 2019 for the transmission build. I was noticing a shudder in that speed range/condition and the V4 exhaust sounded horrible. I thought something was broken. I'm not a driveline specialist, but just a thought.
